Cyber Monday proved to be a big winner for the online retailers. Some reports show that sales were up 21% from last year!
Here's a tidbit from the Associated Press:
"ComScore Inc. reported on Tuesday that consumers spent $733 million online on Monday, a 21% gain from the same day a year ago. ComScore had expected that sales would exceed the $700 million figure."
And who says our economy is not looking up? People are still shopping. That means we're hopeful. We are believing for good things, for money in the bank, for giving to friends and family, and for a great future.
If you're not one of those big spenders because you simply don't have the money, or you were one of the big spenders and know you'll regret it in January, take a look at this video. It's time to get fiscally fit. Make that your New Years Resolution. Instead of losing 10 pounds, add 10 points to your credit score. Add $10K to your retirement account. You get the picture. Cyber Monday: Focus on Safety
Cyber Monday is here! This is the day when so many online retailers, large and small, offer fantastic discounts, free shipping, and incentives galore to buy your Christmas presents from them.
Since I already did my Christmas shopping (I just couldn't resist bringing that up again!) I didn't do Cyber Monday. But I did think a lot about all those people buying gifts online and hope that they are practicing safe shopping. Sad to say, but there are a lot of scam artists out there now looking to make a quick buck and this is busy season for them, too.
One of our newer partners at WomenCorp, Cynthia Bazin, owner of a security and investigations company, wrote an article in the last issue on Personal Safety and Security Tips. She makes some great points and offers suggestions all of us can use. Check it out!

Christmas Shopping and Black Friday
Did you do it?
Did you get up at 3 a.m. and hit the 4 a.m. sales at Best Buy? Did you sleep off yesterday's turkey and get up with the chickens?
Judging from the early word from the retail world, if you did, you were one of many. Now I don't really need a lot of that stuff right now, and already have some of my Christmas shopping done (or planned), so I didn't hit the sales. Yes, I have already started my shopping! Please, though, don't hate me because I'm practical. You can do it too! Seriously, we had a great Thanksgiving dinner and gathering and there is truly so much to be thankful for. Sometimes, spending that precious little extra time with family on Black Friday is the best way to spend the day.
We here at WomenCorp are busy behind the scenes (since we've already got our shopping done...) planning some fun and profit-focused stuff for the magazine. You have been great to let us know how much you're enjoying the magazine. We have an awesome group of partners and must admit, the content is superb. Next year is already gearing up to be a record-breaker for many of us and we're planning to share our secrets with YOU! That's what it's all about, right? Helping you, our readers, to enjoy the fantastic and profitable life you deserve.
Closing out for today, take a look at one of our newer partners, Kent Irwin and his (yes sir, we now have two men on our partner team!) latest article. At this time of year when we all tend to spend way too much money and then worry ourselves sick in January about how we're gonna recover financially (and lose those 10 holiday pounds), thinking about personal finances in advance sounds like a smart thing to do. Check it out!

Gratitude: The Meaning Of Thanksgiving
If you're reading this, you're probably a lot like me. We've got a lot to be grateful for. Even the ability to read is so easy to take for granted but there are still so many people in the world who can't read. And some who can't see.
When we sit down to list all the seemingly little things - you know, those things we take for granted - it can be overwhelming. With all the depressing things going on in the world, it's truly nice to take a step away from the 24-hour news channel and pay a visit to nature.
I'm grateful for the ability to take a walk in nature, enjoying the fresh air, the beautiful flowers, and at this time of year, the gorgeous fall colors of the trees while they are still dense with leaves. For my family and good health, I'm grateful.
Let's all remember to give thanks this year for all the big blessings and the little blessings and to share some of our blessings with somebody who is struggling right now. This world is full of beauty. Relax and take a look at this video.
You'll love it! Every time I watch it I feel inspired and full of gratitude.
I hope you'll all have a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving holiday!

We've Got Issues! Six of them now - Come See...
Time sure does pass fast when you're having fun! It seems like yesterday that we launched WomenCorp magazine. That was three months ago! We just published issue #6 this week and it's chock full of even more over-the-top, you've just gotta have this information. One of our newer partners, Cynthia Bazin, founder of Private Investigation & Security Consulting Agency, The Bazin Group, LLC, shares a few critical safety and security tips.
Joan Stewart, AKA The Publicity Hound, tips us off to a superb idea for publicity using holiday gift guides. Check out her article and you'll get some great ideas.
Pat Lynch of Women's Radio profiles The Breast Cancer Fund and its focus on the environment. Although we hear more and more about men who develop breast cancer, it's still typically women, and we need to stay as educated as possible about the disease, and offer support whenever we can to other women who are struggling with it.
Jody DeVere of AskPatty.com, asks us, "Teen Drivers: Track Them or Trust Them?" You'll find some intriguing information and stats that will get you thinking in this article.
We're planning a couple of surprises during the next several weeks. Be sure to check back regularly and see what we're up to!

Bart Smith and the PJ Camp Adventure
If you didn't sign up for Bart Smith's PJ Camp, you're missing a fantastic program!
Bart Smith is one of the WomenCorp partners and his niche is Infopreneuring. His background is utterly fascinating and what he's teaching us PJ Campers (yep, I've gone to Camp!) is phenomenal. Bart has been-there, done-that, and he's giving us the low-down on how to start a business - the right way, to run the business - the right way, and how to market a business - the right way.
Now, how many of us have learned by trial and error how to do all of this - the wrong way? I know I have. When this guru tells you "do this" and this guru tells you "do that" and you do this and then do that, well what do you get? No joke. You get nowhere. You'll be missing a lot of money and still not anywhere near the success you deserve. Skip all that and take Bart's advice. He is joined by business partner and life coach Mandy Pratt. Her experience is truly impressive and her energy just reaches out to all of us with a huge dose of confidence and inspiration. Put on your PJs and get to work!
p.s. I'm hoping Bart and Mandy will offer their PJ Camp again, so check out his site and let him know if you're interested.
